FLAG — The Idea That Is Forging A Salient Place In Students’ Lives
Since its inception and introduction to public space, the flag has been favorably accepted and appreciated by millions of students and has taken a paramount place in their lives.
The Compelling Tale Behind Richie’s Ingenious Flag Proposition
Richie Commins was in his third year of university in 2017, at a period when car crashes were on the upswing, and student mortality was disproportionately high. Of course, drunk drivers were a major contributor to such incidents, but other influences that should not be overshadowed included rising fairs of cabs, a significant decline in the accessibility of taxis at night, compelled students to walk home following a night out, and increasing their exposure to disasters. On the other hand, student issues such as not having cash, being over budget, forgetting their wallet, having a dead phone, and so on have also been great allies in such cascading incidents.
Also, the nocturnal hotspots around Christmas Eve are also among the most active participants in such circumstances, since students have recently finished their exams and are passionately interested in the celebrations.
Shaping The Flickering Flambeau Of Serving The Community Into An Efficacious, Intensified Flame
In this setting, university students were asked to do something about all of these incidents, and a project on student safety was assigned to them. Richie devised the idea of a flag app to assist a lot of pupils. Richie commins collaborated with Blackstone Launchpad, a previously existing business, to produce the first iteration of this service. Richie chooses to go it alone after this, in his last year and introduces the DASH (driving all students home) service, which has grown into the face of the Flag app.
